Our School

Horseshoe Mountain Village School

Opening in the fall of 2024, Horseshoe Mountain Village School runs 5 days a week from September through May and serves children ages 6-14. Mondays thru Thursday hours are 8:30-2:30; Fridays are half-days, reserved for excursions, project work, and special classes, ending the day at 12. We also offer part-time homeschool enrichment programs as space is available.

Situated on a farm-like setting in beautiful Spring City, Utah, our school's unique approach follows Charlotte Mason's methodology and focuses on three areas: real-life experiences; joyful relationships with God, man, and the world; and deep, rich academic learning through beautiful books and discussion.  Learn about our curriculum and school garden

Our Story

I'm Julie Christensen, founder of Horseshoe Mountain Village School. For over 30 years, I've worked as a teacher and school director in public, private, university, and homeschooling settings. I'm also the mother of four children.

Horseshoe Mountain Village School is something I've dreamed about for a long time. It's the culmination of everything I've discovered as an educator about children, families, and learning.

My goal in opening the school is to offer a beautiful, relational liberal arts education based on the work of Charlotte Mason.

Located on a farm-like setting in Spring City, Utah, Horseshoe Mountain Village School is a very special place for a childhood.
